Eva Pettersson

So, our little Eva Pettersson has her own website – and she is not yet five years old! As our world changes and we move into a definitely more technological era, you need to get in quick if you want your children’s lives personalised, or publicised. Being a New Zealander, but of swedish decent their are plenty of people with whom Eva shares her name and only ONE .com domain name up for grabs.

In the cut-throat world of the internet promotion, securing a domain name for the future is imperitive. Even if Eva never wants to use it, thant’s fine, but she has her own domain if she wants it. Having your own domain need not just be for self promotion. It is easy to run your blog from your name and also have the same corresponding email address. It all makes sense in keeping a tidy life. However, if you snooze you lose and as I have said, there are plenty of other Eva Pettersson’s out there who may one day look to have their own domain – but I got in first! Google your own child and see how many others share their name.

Eva is not quite 5, but soon I would like her to be running this domain as her own blog. As a family we are taking a year out to travel around Europe, so I am blogging about our family travels on our family website, and I look forward to seeing Eva blogging about her own life right here!

So let me start her blog from today!

Here we are, in Spain for two months, having already spent two months in a small village in Italy and two months in a slightly larger village in France. When we meet people, I can see them thinking…how on earth are you managing this, and what kind of parents would take their small children out of school for a year to simply bum around Europe? Well all is well. I am a qualified primary school teacher, so the children’s education is not a problem, and really, what better education is there than experiencing different cultures, absorbing different languages, eating different foods and seeing different landscapes? One day we travelled on 6 different modes of transport to change countries, so who needs to study a unit on transport for 6 weeks, we you can get the picture in a day? So education for us is fine. And money, well that’s fine too. My husband’s job is internet based. Plug him in and he makes money.

So life for little Eva Pettersson is pretty rich and exciting, and as her Mother, I hope it continues this way. And with her own domain alreay booked and paid for, following her life and times for friends and family will be easy.
